May 23, Parker River National Wildlife Sanctuary, Plum Island

Just south of the NH border, connected by one small bridge to Salisbury, is Plum Island, a jumble of tiny beach cottages and ocean-front modern luxury homes on the north side, with an Audubon and National wildlife sanctuary on the south.   Boardwalks for hikes through salt marsh and vegetated dunes.  Birdwatchers, and a symphony of bird-calls.  Plus beautiful beach, much of which is closed to protect piping plover nesting areas.
