October 17, 2010 – Noon Hill, Medfield

Found a new (to us) Trustees of Reservations site – Noon Hill in Medfield, not too far off Route 27. I was worried that our little local Sunday hikes would become boring, compared to where we’ just been  – “how ya gonna keep ’em down on Moose Hill Farm, after they’ve seen Yellowstone?”

But Noon Hill was a delightful find – lovely woods, with a hike to overlook with views of Gillette Stadium! (Pats won in overtime) Then down to hike around Holt’s pond with autumn leaves reflected in the water, and bright sparkling sunshine. And if we’d continued on a path on the far side of the pond, it leads to another Trustees property across the street, and that leads to hikes along the Charles River. Another time for that stretch.
