Broadmoor Audubon Sanctuary, Natick – July 4, 2011

Broadmoor is one of the great natural areas we’ve visited – wetlands, ponds, waterfalls, pine and oak woods, and the Charles River. Saw great blue herons, painted turtle, ducks, geese, butterflies, red-winged blackbirds. Heard more critters than we saw. Just 30 minutes from Sharon, up 27 through Sherborn, to route 16 in Natick.

What a country!
