Stoughton Conservation Land – 8/23/14

Tried Stoughton’s Conservation Land again – we just can’t figure this place out. One time we needed to call a cab to drive us back to where we left the car! This time we were golden – even had a trail map. WHICH WE COULD NOT FIGURE OUT! Granted, the map is from 2000, and the trail intersections are not marked. And there’s new construction happening.  Hey, Stoughton Scouts – trail markers here would make a terrific Eagle Scout project!

The area does have a lot of what we like in a hike – woods, walls, water. We did find a granite quarry, though – source of stone used to build the Stoughton train station. And it is a lovely away-from-it-all spot. Didn’t see another human the whole hike.
