Buck Hill, Blue Hills Reservation

A new (to us) trail to the summit of Buck Hill, the 3rd highest peak in the Blue Hills Reservation. We parked along Route 28 near the Milton/Randolph line, and followed the blue blazed Skyline Trail. There’s some steep going that way, but the summit is mostly open, boulder-y with nice views of the Boston skyline, the harbor, and more of the Reservation. Took us about 2 hours in and back. Love that the Reservation trail map shows numbered trail intersections – and the trees on the trail show those same numbers! Makes it harder to get lost, and it allowed us to take a different trail back down to the car.
