Fundy National Park – Point Wolfe

The Canadian National Parks have this Red Chair challenge going – they’ve planted red Adirondack chairs in spots all over their parks, and encourage visitors to take and share photos of themselves in the chairs with #ShareTheChair theme. What a fun way to get folks to sit and savor the view, like this one in Fundy National Park, perfect for a little family.

Cloudy, misty morning so we drove to Point Wolfe, where logging used to clog the river. The view of/around the covered bridge, down the mouth of the river to the Bay was spectacular at low, low tide. Doubleclick any photo to see full-size.

We took the path to an overlook at the end of Point Wolfe, with a lovely sentiment carved in the boardwalk.

Amazing to see so little river – how could they have been floating all that lumber down to boats waiting on the Bay when the river’s barely a stream, and the sand spreads so far? IMG_6178 IMG_6179 IMG_6180
